Training Sessions Available:

Basic User


Objective: To provide new Sage CRM users with an entry-level understanding of the basic features of the software. On completion of the session, users will be able to navigate successfully around the system.


Content Summary:

  • Introduction to Sage CRM: Screen navigation, menus, icons and tabs
  • Create new Company and Person records
  • Search for a record or group of records (using variable search mechanisms)
  • Groups: Create and amend Group records. Manage dynamic membership criteria
  • Calendar: Working with the Calendar including synchronisation with Microsoft Exchange
  • Activities: Creating Tasks and Appointments
  • Email: Recording Microsoft Outlook email Histories associated with Sage CRM records
  • Opportunities: Creating and managing Sales Opportunities
  • Cases: Creating and managing customer service/support Cases
  • Documents: Creating (email and letter) mail merges based on Sage CRM templates
  • Reports: Using Sage CRM’s standard reporting outputs and Dashboard views

Advanced/Administrator


Objective: To empower Sage CRM Administrators to exercise full local control of their own databases. On completion of this session, Administrators will be able to configure the more complex elements of Sage CRM and manage all aspect of the system with significantly reduced external assistance.


  • Database customisation including the management of entities, fields and drop-down lists
  • Layout design: adapting the Sage CRM screens to present data to users in the most intuitive format
  • Data security issues: setting password policies and managing user and field level security
  • Advanced Searches: Data profiling and performing advanced queries
  • Reporting: Customisation of report templates and Dashboard views
  • Import and export: Understanding the database structure and how to import from external sources
  • Configuration and management of Workflows to help maintain best-practice adherence
  • Escalations: setting up automated processes, communications and alerts

Note: The above sessions may be run as a half day course. In these circumstances, an overview of each element will be provided but there will be limited opportunity for discussion and Q and A at the conclusion of the session.
