Sage Partner Summit was a multi-day enablement event bringing together global Sage Intacct, Sage X3 and Sage People Partners in one setting. The purpose was to share a vision for the future, and to enable the world’s leading Sage partners to share best practices and ideas to help deliver even greater customer value.
The Solutions delegation included representatives from across our business. This enabled us to discover ways of improving all the services that we provide to our clients, from the early stages of consultative advice, through to implementation and training to ensure project success.
Attendees from Solutions included: Iain Barker – Managing Director, Will Ingleby – Sales Director, Sean Graham – Operations Director, Gareth Bezant – Head of Sage Intacct Operations, Tim Venables – Sage Intacct Consultant and Bethan Wright – Marketing Manager.
The event consisted of a 3 day conference with rich and engaging content, 70+ exhibitors and over 1000 attendees. The seminars were hosted by a mixture of Sage employees, Resellers, Market Place Partners and external industry experts, giving a variety of viewpoints, experiences and the vision for the future.
Each morning started with an inspirational keynote led by the Sage C Suite team, including CEO Steve Hare, CTO Aaron Harris and CPO Lee Perkins, who presented a compelling rationale for the commitment the company has made to developing the Sage Business Cloud.
Of significant interest to the Solutions team was the ‘Market Place’ exhibition which enabled Sage’s ISV and strategic partners to showcase their add-on solutions. These complementary technologies are key to aligning Sage products with the specific operational and regulatory needs of target industries.
The Solutions team were able to develop existing relationships and form new connections with Market Place partners, enhancing our capability to deliver more impactful Sage Intacct systems for our clients.
The event also presented a fantastic opportunity to network with other Partners from around the globe, sharing experiences, and finding ways to work more collaboratively to ensure that our clients enjoy the best possible customer experience.
It wasn’t all work and no play; Sage put on two great evenings of entertainment, allowing us more networking time with Reseller Partners, Sage Marketplace Partners and Sage employees. The Monday night consisted of a meal and entertainment at Disney Springs, followed by the Tuesday night at Universal Studios City Walk.

We were fortunate to have a few days down time where we were able to explore what Orlando had to offer before heading back to Blighty. A highlight for the team was going on an air boat which took us on a Gator Tour where we were fortunate enough to see some Alligators, a few were babies, but we did manage to get pretty close to a 9 ft. adult!
On the final day before heading to the airport, we hired some bikes and went cycling around the beautiful town of Celebration – built by Disney. This picturesque suburban paradise was totally different than the rest of Orlando, with white picket fenced houses and some multi-million dollar properties; all set in luscious surroundings of grassland, lakes and boardwalks – the perfect place to explore on two wheels. We also attended an NHL game, watching the Tampa Bay Lightening’s triumph over the Montreal Canadiens with the 4-0 result!

In summary, Sage Partner Summit was a fantastic event and very much worth the trip to Orlando, Florida. We are now back in the office and, although slightly jet lagged, raring to go by putting everything we’ve learned into action and making use of the contacts we’ve made.
Attending this event ensures we can provide the best possible knowledge, resources and insight to our existing and prospective client base. As Sage Partner Summit focussed on Sage Intacct, Sage X3 and Sage People, the vision shared was around the direction of the Sage Business Cloud as a collective, and the evolving significance of SaaS solutions to growing businesses worldwide.
We are very much looking forward to the continued development of our knowledge and experience of Sage Business Cloud products to maintain our position as the UK’s leading Sage SaaS solution provider.
