The employees at Solutions were lucky enough to enjoy an all-expenses paid weekend relaxing on the River Thames as a thank you for all our hard work.
The firm paid for our weekend getaway to Windsor, for 35 people, in recognition of our growth since Nottingham-based Solutions for Accounting merged with Derby-based BluebirdCRM in 2015, which has seen us double our staff headcount and create 20 new jobs in the process.
We were picked up from Solutions’ head office, on Gregory Boulevard, on Saturday morning and headed down south, by coach, on a magical mystery tour. It was only once we were on the coach that the location of the weekend was revealed.

Once we arrived in Windsor, we enjoyed lunch at our very impressive hotel, followed by a treasure hunt in the afternoon, before heading out for an evening meal and drinks at a local pub.
The following day, we were given the morning free to explore Windsor, before heading off on a boat trip and afternoon tea along the River Thames to the affluent village of Bray, where we saw the houses (or should I say mansions) of some of the celebrities who live there, including broadcaster Michael Parkinson and chef Heston Blumenthal.

Managing Director Iain Barker said: “We’ve taken employees away for a weekend a few times before, however not for a while. We have previously had city breaks in London and Bristol to reward employees and it’s something we want to get back in the swing of.
“The weather was glorious, we stayed in a lovely hotel and a fantastic time was had by all.
“As a business, we’ve come a long way since we started out over 19 years ago and have exciting plans for the future.
“This weekend was our way of saying ‘thank you’ to the staff, building morale and keeping them motivated, because without our fantastic team, Solutions wouldn’t be the business that it is today.”
